GeekGlassware LLC is official!

Yay, I filed for an LLC. That makes me a CEO. Kind of cool I guess. I don’t feel any different, am I supposed to be getting a package in the mail that teaches me how to be a jerk, or will that just happen over time? ha ha, just kidding.

Seriously, though: Geekglassware.com is also now live, and so is the Etsy page, facebook page, and twitter account. Also made the subreddit for a small nest of future planning that I’ve got in mind with the help from my best CEO-friend, Samir Balwani (he owns and runs SiteFox.com. I traded him tech support for advice and all that 🙂

The homepage for geekglassware is just a landing page, takes you directly to my Etsy account (which I am both proud and sad to say is nearly sold out of inventory). More glasses coming soon!

Geek Glassware Launching soon

Here’s a snap of our starting inventory. Just finished up all these glasses last night 🙂 After some personal fulfillment we will be putting them on Etsy! geekglassware.com

  • Aperture: ƒ/32
  • Camera: NIKON D90
  • ISO: 200

View from the cockpit

Just hooked up my left flank monitor, sadly it’s a TN panel, so it’s viewing angle isn’t so hot.

My main two (Samsung 245BW) are both IPS though, but the third monitor was just sitting around…might as well, right?

There’s also a fourth, but it’s actually my bedroom TV mounted on the other side of the room, so while technically it’s a monitor, I don’t really use it for anything except watching my terabytes of movies/tv shows.

  • Aperture: ƒ/27
  • Camera: NIKON D90
  • Taken: 29 March, 2012
  • Focal length: 24mm
  • ISO: 200
  • Shutter speed: 8s

Here’s a photo from my actual seat (had to employ a low mag. fish eye)

  • Aperture: ƒ/27
  • Camera: NIKON D90
  • Taken: 29 March, 2012
  • Focal length: 24mm
  • ISO: 200
  • Shutter speed: 8s

if you look at the EXIF data, the shutter speed isn’t lying. I had to pause the movies so I could take a nice high aperture photo with no flash.

Pokemon Valentine’s day card

BEST VALENTINE’S DAY CARD EVER

  • Aperture: ƒ/4
  • Camera: NIKON D90
  • Taken: 14 February, 2012
  • Focal length: 50mm
  • ISO: 200
  • Shutter speed: 1/30s

It’s being reposted. Next week. Subscribe if you like, or just check back. I pinky swears it.

I will have a 200dpi .pdf version, about 225MB, and a 600dpi .psb version, about 2.21GB. Download at your own leisure. Smaller versions will be available for viewing in your browser. I may make a publicly tracked torrent, but I don’t think it will get much traffic and it may be easier to just directly download it via HTTP. I also may do a piece wise download to make it easier on some lower bandwidth guests.

How I feel about the Android soft button placement

[wdgpo_plusone]
Those are nooses, not light bulbs.

Seriously Android, you need to make this a standard. It’s annoying as turd, and this is coming from an Android fan-boy. Pick one, and enforce it.

Also, pick an aspect ratio, and stick to it as well. I love the options but having too much freedom makes it damn annoying to develop/design for, not including the branding disassociation.
